Ingredients
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 Tablespoons black coffee
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup cake flour (I use King Arthur Flour)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
  1. Grease and flour a jelly roll pan.
  2. Beat eggs on medium speed until thick and lemony colored.
  3. Gradually add the sugar.
  4. Mix in coffee and vanilla.
  5. Add flour, baking powder and salt.
  6. Pour into prepared jelly-roll pan and bake at 375 for about 12 minutes. Cake should be done but not overly baked.

  8. Turn cake out onto a towel coated with powdered sugar.

  11. Spread cake with Hershey's Spread.
  12. Roll towel down to where cake the starts. Gently roll the cake inside the towel. Tuck the towel around the cake and cool before unrolling.
  13. Place cake on a plate or board.

  15. Dust with powdered sugar and cocoa.
  16. Serve with Hershey's Syrup if desired.
