Ingredients
  • ½ cup chickpea flour
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 pound shrimp, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • olive oil for frying
Instructions
  1. Whisk together flours, paprika, salt and baking powder. Slowly add water to form a thin batter similar to a crepe.
  2. Add shrimp, onions and garlic.
  3. Lightly grease a griddle or fry pan with oil. Heat to medium-high as if frying pancakes.
  4. Drop small spoonfuls onto the griddle. Spread into a thin layer if necessary. Fry 1 to 2 minutes per side until shrimp are cooked and cakes are slightly browned.
  5. Drain on a paper towel if necessary.
