Orange Ginger Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich

Yield: 1 each

Serving Size: 1 each

Ingredients

  • 1 4-ounce boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki glaze
  • 1/2 teaspoon sliced fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 bun

Instructions

  • Whisk together glaze, ginger,honey, juice and zest.
  • Heat oils in small skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Add to pan. Brown on each side, about 2 minutes per side.
  • Reduce heat. Add half the sauce, cover and simmer, turning once. cook until temperature reaches 165 degrees.
  • Add the rest of the glaze. Turn to coat. Serve on toasted roll.

Notes

If sauce becomes to thick during cooking, add a small amount of water to pan.
