Loose layers work best. I start with Flahavan’s Rolled Irish Oats as the bottom layer.

Next, I toss Envy apple chunks with Bob’s Red Mill Hazelnut Flour.

Never heard of hazelnut flour? It’s simply finely ground hazelnuts! That fine texture makes it ideal for cooking and baking. You need to keep in mind that since it is still nuts, there’s going to be nut oil involved.

Partially substitue hazelnut flour for all-purpose flour when baking by a ratio of 1 part nut flour to 3 parts wheat flour for best results.

For our purposes we are using it as ground nuts, not baking flour.

Alternate layers with space between for the almond milk to seep around.
