Skinny Mocha Latte Mix #SundaySupper

Skinny Mocha Latte Mix

Skinny Mocha Latte please! Jet Fuel to go! Decaf Cappuccino with whip for here! Yes, you caught me. I did some time as a Barista in a small family-owned coffee and bake shop. I learned the correct way to make those delicious hot drinks everyone craved.
Nowadays those calorie-laden goodies are often reserved for special occasions.
Christmas and the Holiday season are of special, of course. The problem is this that time of year there are many “special” treats. In my case, I just eat what I want and worry about my figure later.
Calorie counting will be my New Year get-back-on-the-stick post. 😉
I do have friends and family with willpower. For those lucky ducks, I’ll give out Skinny Mocha Latte Mix. Non-fat powdered milk makes it skinny. Dark cocoa makes it delicious!

Homemade gifts always bring a smile to my face. It doesn’t matter if I’m getting or giving them.

Don’t forget to make one for yourself. BTW, homemade whipped cream is only about 15 calories per Tablespoon. But who’s counting?

Did You Earn a Halo Top this Christmas? Review #ad

halo top flavors
I received free samples of Halo Top ice cream to review. I received no further compensation. All opinions are my own.

If Santa asks if you were a good boy or girl, what will you say? I said, “Yes Santa and I think I earned a Halo Top today!

You don’t need to be an angel to get in on this ice cream treat. Halo Top brand claims to be an ice cream that you can feel good about eating.
Here’s why:

  • all-natural, no gmo
  • gluten-free
  • Vegetarian friendly (no gelatin)
  • cage-free eggs
  • no corn syrup
  • no artificial sweetners
  • no synthetic growth hormones
  • This ice cream is lower in calories thanks to organic stevia and erythritol(natural sugar alcohol) .
I sampled the Lemon Cake, Chocolate and Vanilla Bean flavors.
    halo top lemon cake
I found the Lemon Cake Ice Cream actually tasted like I was eating a slice of lemon cake. Very lemony, very good. This ice cream is a good topper for pound cake or waffles.
    halo top chocolate
Their Chocolate is very rich. Deep, dark cocoa gives it a no quit chocolate taste from Callebaut Belgian Chocolate. I would use this in ice cream sandwiches.
    halo top vanilla bean
The Vanilla Bean flavor had an odd texture to me that is closer to ice milk. It would work well in milkshakes and floats.
Overall Halo Top delivers their promise: “High protein, low-calorie, low-carb, ridiculously good.”
Find Halo Top in a store near you.

Baked Ricotta Dip-Lucille’s Bloody Mary Mix Review

Ricotta Dip with Lucille's Bloody Mary Mix
I received samples of Lucille’s Bloody Mary Mix to review. Opinions and recipes are my own. I received no further compensation.
When a representative from Lucille’s Bloody Mary Mix contacted me, I admit I was intrigued. I honestly never heard of a dry spice mix that was specially formulated for Bloody Mary cocktails.
I’ve seen liquid mixes and have sampled a few Bloody Marys over the years.
But that wasn’t what interested me. People were using these spice mixes in food recipes!
On Lucille’s website you’ll find these spice combos used as meat rubs, in dressings, sauces and even bbq.
I had a different approach. I thought Lucille’s mixes would be perfect to spice up a hot cheese dip. My choice was Baked Ricotta Dip.

Choose any of the 3 varieties available at the website depending on how spicy your tastes may be.
Ricotta Dip with Lucille's Bloody Mary Mix

I chose San Francisco Mild but I’m sure the New Orleans Nippy or Cajun Hot would work as well.
