One-Pot Gourmet Gardener #Review #Giveaway

one-pot gardener
Chances are that you have made a few soups, stews and casseroles using one cooking vessel. Have you ever thought about growing your own meals in one pot?
In The One-Pot Gardener, Cinead McTernan takes your meals from garden to table in a step-by-step adventure.
As a gardener I can appreciate the growing tips and selections McTernan uses to create her one-pot gardens. As a cook, I know having most of your fresh ingredients handy is a blessing.
A great example is Baba Ganoush. McTernan lays out the dish from start to finish. She fills you in on best plant variety, soil, companion herbs to grow. A recipe follows that utilizes the one-pot planting. You could say it’s a type of Baba Ganoush kit!

I can’t wait to make Hummus Three Ways this Holiday season. One of many recipes I find intriguing.

One-Pot Gourmet Gardener helps gardeners of all skill levels obtain a meal that is in part grown then cooked with the one-pot style.

These wonderful recipes and garden tips are brought to life by gorgeous photography of Jason Ingram and illustrations by Becky Clarke.

Gardeners, home cooks and even bloggers will learn a thing or two about garden-to-table meals.

Try your hand at winning a copy in the Rafflecopter below! Good luck!

Bewitching Brownie Bars #FilltheCookieJar

Bewitching Brownie Bars setting

It’s a crime how good these Bewitching Brownie Bars taste! Chocolate, cinnamon and gooey butterscotch swirled on top. Sprinkles. Don’t forget the sprinkles!

This month we are about to #FilltheCookieJar with Halloween favorites!

Every month our #FillTheCookieJar cookie loving group meets to share our best cookies and bars to fit the theme. This month we will be sharing cookies that remind us of Halloween fun and shenanigans!

Thank you Cynthia Landrie from  Feeding Big at http://FeedingBig.com for hosting this fun event!

Bewitching Brownie Bars start out as ordinary chocolate brownies. Then add some cinnamon for fall of course. I piped a swirl of melted butterscotch morsels on top. Pull a knife from the center to the edge to create a web effect.

Bewitching Brownie

Add some sprinkles for color. I bought some from the bakery department where I shop.
So festive right?

Serve Bewitching Brownie Bars at your next Halloween party. Adult enough to serve with a dark beer or mixed drink. Equally good with warm apple cider or hot cocoa. Guaranteed that your guests will have a howling good time!

Pork and Sweet Potato Wraps #MissionInfluencer

Days off can be a precious thing. Sometimes household chores can wait a bit. Time to enjoy a little “me” time. Problem is, relaxing over lunch with a good book doesn’t really burn many calories.

That’s okay. I found a great lunch partner in Mission Carb Balance tortillas.

fajita-whole-wheat

A wrap with new Carb Balance Mission Whole Wheat Tortillas and a light salad make a great healthy lunch choice. This whole wheat tortilla is super soft and light. A perfect choice for a lunch wrap or main meal.

I used some leftover pork roast, mashed sweet potatoes, spinach and arugula to create these Pork and Sweet Potato Wraps with great fall flavors. Add a light side salad with a squirt of lemon and that’s all I need.

Pardon me. I couldn’t wait to start eating!
