Food, Fine Art and Russian Mobsters Collide in Nick Greenberg’s The Caterer
Nick Greenberg whips up the perfect blend of crime, cuisine and comedic situations in The Caterer, the second book in his By Cook or By Crook series. The Caterer finds former food truck chef and reluctant art thief Anton Cherny in hot water once again — this time with a Russian mobster. Forced to use his catering business as cover for a string of high-stakes art heists, Anton encounters one curveball after another while continuing to do what he loves most: cooking and making music.

The Caterer dishes out an array of predicaments to whet the appetite of the reader. Nick Greenberg sends his favorite caterer/art thief, Anton Cherny into precarious situations that sends Anton across the globe.
I found the cast of characters play well together. Past relationships surface and as in real life, walking on egg shells keeps the plot moving when hard choices have to be made.
The stakes are high as the steaks sizzle from one caper to another. No matter what or who is thrown in his way, Anton is reminded that it’s business as usual and the show must go on, or else.
