Sweet Potato Fries

Sweet Potato Fries
Sweet Potato Fries are a great side dish or snack. Top these healthy fries with salt and cinnamon for an early taste of fall. I made these in my air fryer. #FarmersMarketWeek

I’ve always deep fried white or sweet potaoes to make my fries. That was until I got an air fryer. Making fries in an air fryer allows you to use less oil and save a few calories. Plus you can make a few and not have leftover oil to deal with disposing.
This is more a technique than a recipe. I’ll write it in recipe format for easy reference.
Here’s the takeaway tips.

  • Sweet potatoes oxidize fast. Place cut fries immediately in water to prevent uncooked fries from turning black.
  • Pat fries completely dry before coating in oil or deep frying.
  • Lightly spray fries with vegetable oil for air fryer cooking.
  • Season immediately when fried.
